Title: Math Matters (MA 101) Category: Mathematics
Description: This class will give your child an opportunity to begin math with an excellent foundation using songs, games, and lots of manipulative objects.  Some of our class goals are counting by 1s, skip counting by 2s, 5s, 10s, to 100; recognizing and drawing shapes; simple graphs, calendar; number sentences.  I will be using a combination of Horizon and Singapore curriculum.

Title: Pre-Algebra (MA 103) Category: Mathematics

Full Title: Pre-Algebra / Algebra Confidence Course 

Description: This course is a companion to your student’s Pre-Algebra or Algebra curriculum.  Through practical and interesting exercises, your student will become more comfortable with his/her Algebra ability.  We will cover Factoring Whole Numbers, Order of Operations, Arithmetic Fractions, Exponents, Roots, and Radicals, The Number System, Polynomials, Special Products, Factoring Polynomials, Algebraic Fractions, Equations and Formulas, Functions and Graphs.  The relevant Arithmetic skills will be reviewed in conjunction with each Algebra subtopic.   There will be a half hour of home work each week.
