Title: Science Experiments I (SC 101) Category: Science
Description: This class is designed to give a hands on experience to the 1st - 6th grader and to reinforce the Science that is taught from the textbook at home. Topics covered are Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Earth Sciences. The desire is to promote a love of Science and to show how it affects our daily lives. Most of the material we will use for our experiments are everyday items found in the home. Some of the items will come from purchased kits. We will learn how to use a microscope to study things like plants, fungus and micro organisms.

Title: Science II (SC 102) Category: Science Experiment
Description: This is a fun and challenging Science class designed to teach scientific thought in addition to scientific memorization. The first half of the year will be spent learning about and practicing the scientific method. We will perform various experiments in biology, astronomy, earth science, chemistry, and physics. The second half of the year will be devoted to independent experimentation (applying scientific principles to projects). Class time will generally be spent on team projects and homework will be given to create a class worth one year’s credit.
